Meet The Team

Henry graduated in Law from Christ’s College Cambridge. He served as an insurance broker in the London market for 15 years dealing with clients in the UK, Ireland, France and the USA before switching to underwriting in 1995.  From 2002 he specialised in managing insurance businesses in run off in London, Sweden and Singapore as well as resolving litigated insurance liabilities across all classes and numerous jurisdictions across the world particularly USA. From 2014 he gradually moved to more non-executive roles. He served as Chairman of Barbican Managing Agency prior to its acquisition by Arch Capital and  remains a director of R&Q Capital No 1, Livery Companies Mutual and City RE in addition to responsibilities at Lime. In May 2022, Henry was elected as Chairman of Finance for the City of London Corporation.

Stephen is a seasoned general counsel and governance professional with over 25 years’ experience in insurance law, regulation, and corporate governance.  During that time, he has advised directors and executives on fiduciary responsibilities, legal and regulatory developments, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic corporate transactions.  His track record of successfully navigating complex legal landscapes and anticipating emerging risks enables Stephen to offer valuable guidance to the Board and to collaborate with executives on legal and regulatory matters.  As a governance professional, Stephen is committed to ensuring that Lime and its directors uphold high ethical standards and remain accountable to stakeholders.

Jeremy is currently CEO of Equitas, the insurance business running off all of Lloyd's policies written prior to 1992. He also sits on the board committee of the division within UK Government Investments seeking to strengthen liability expertise within government and improve how government manages its portfolio of risk from contingent liabilities. He is a qualified chartered accountant with significant experience as a non-executive, including chairing boards and committees in the insurance sector as well as other businesses such as Universities and music exam providers. His experience thoroughly equips Jeremy to chair the Audit Committee and to support the Chair as Senior Independent Director.

Colin began his career with the Royal Insurance in Liverpool and specialised in Marine insurance for twenty years, culminating in the role of global practice leader of the Marine business of the then merged Royal & SunAlliance company. After that he became CUO of RSA’s UK Commercial business, leading it through a period of portfolio improvement that included the 9/11 losses. With the business returned to profitability Colin then became Underwriting, Claims and Risk Director of the International Division of RSA. After five years in this role, Colin led the due diligence of a major specialty lines business acquisition in Canada, and moved to live in Toronto to support the integration of the business where he also assumed the roles of CUO and CRO. At the end of 2014 he left RSA and became a Non-Executive Director of the Hartford’s Lloyd’s business and served on their board for seven years. He now brings his extensive experience of Underwriting and Risk to Lime to support the syndicates under management in these vital areas.

Originally a chartered accountant, David brings with him extensive knowledge and senior-level experience in the retail and wholesale insurance market.  David was latterly CEO of the Barbican Insurance Group, a Lloyd’s managing agent that not only managed its own syndicate, but provided management services for several new Lloyd’s propositions as well as established a successful MGA incubation platform. David’s entrepreneurial approach will ensure LSML keep pace with the inevitable changes that will take place within the Lloyd’s and wider London insurance market, proactively supporting the executive teams of all syndicates under management and helping them achieve their goals.

Sarb has been working in Finance for over 30 years in the Lloyd’s market with positions held at Whittingtons, DP Mann, Faraday (now Axis), SVB, Novae (now Axis), Charles Taylor (now Premia), and contract roles at Torus Ariel Re and Liberty. He has had extensive experience at held numerous positions at senior levels within the Finance area. Having held CFO and Board roles with PRA and FCA approval, Sarb joins us at Lime to provide his expertise to assist in the setup and approval of a Lloyd’s Managing Agency and Syndicate.

Alex has been working in the industry for 30 years and has a recognised reputation for drive and energy, a diverse and established network, and a purposeful and confident leadership style. 

Alex was most recently the Deputy CEO of Antares Managing Agency and prior to that their Active Underwriter. He worked at a broking house for his first 6 years and then moved to underwriting at AXA Re where he cut his teeth as a Property Treaty Underwriter.

Paul is a qualified actuary with over 25 years post-qualification experience and has worked in the (re)insurance market for 30 years. He was formerly Chief Reinsurance Actuary at Allied World and led the pricing and structuring functions across actuarial and catastrophe modelling disciplines. In the years that Paul worked at Allied World, he also served as the European Chief Risk Officer, with responsibilities across both company and Lloyd’s platforms. He managed Solvency II implementation and was one of the team that successfully founded the Managing Agency at Lloyd’s. Prior to that, Paul worked as Chief Pricing Actuary for Platinum Reinsurance in Bermuda & London and was also a partner at Lane Clark & Peacock, advising Lloyd’s syndicates & companies on reserving matters.

Al is a dynamic Actuary set apart from others by his creative approach to problem solving. He brings a focus on data, technology and automation to the team and has more than 20 years of experience working in the London Market across a number of roles, most latterly as Chief Actuary & Head of Analytics of DARAG, a run-off provider, and then at Fidelis as CFO of their new Syndicate. Despite his obsession with data he still firmly believes it is the people beyond anything else that make a business great.

Phil has over 25 years of experience in working in the London. Lloyd’s and major international (re)insurance markets for both large global corporations and Actuarial consulting practices.  He has held Executive-level Chief Actuary roles, leading and building large teams across all of the core actuarial reserving, pricing and capital disciplines.  In addition to the financial and regulatory reporting responsibilities of the Chief Actuary, throughout his career Phil has worked in close commercial and strategic partnership with CUOs on portfolio management, business planning, complex case pricing and underwriting risk management across all the major product classes and distribution.

Beverley has extensive experience of London based and global insurance businesses and previously held the position of Group Company Secretary of Randall & Quilter. She is an experienced board professional with a background in private and listed corporate governance and commercial matters. Beverley is a qualified solicitor and has worked in legal private practice and as an in house lawyer. Beverley is also a director of The Bermuda Society, a not for profit organisation that promotes Bermuda as a respected jurisdiction for global business and strengthens mutually beneficial links between Bermuda and the City of London, encompassing corporate, cultural, community, scientific, strategic and educational matters.

Chris has over 20 years experience in the Insurance industry, starting his career at AVIVA before moving on to Xchanging (DXC/Velonetic) as an IT solution architect, progressing through to the Chief Technology Officer. For the last 3 years Chris has been working as a London Market specialist supporting and advising a number of existing participants, new entrants and start ups looking to modernise or simply participate in the Lloyd’s and London Market. Chris brings a wealth of experience of the central processing services and the Market modernisation initiatives that will impact all members of the market going forwards.

Chris brings over 35 years London Market experience to Lime, predominantly in Operations where he spent over 21 years with the XL Group. He has experience leading teams with responsibility for many operational disciplines, including both inwards and outwards processing, credit control, regulatory reporting, and underwriting governance

Christina has worked in insurance claims for over 12 years. After studying Law, she joined the Mazars graduate scheme, eventually developing and leading the Litigation and Expert Consulting team. In 2021, Christina joined Mactavish the UK’s leading independent outsourced insurance buyer and claims resolution expert as Director of Claims and later Compre, specialising in the due diligence and the claims of run off portfolios. Having spent more than a decade in the industry, Christina focuses on complex losses across all lines of business. Christina joined Lime in January 2024 as Head of Claims.

Adanna is a seasoned compliance professional with a strong background in financial crime. With over 10 years of experience in the financial services industry, Adanna has developed a comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements and best practices in combating financial crime. Adanna’s robust regulatory compliance and anti-financial crime experience supports Lime in complying with its regulatory obligations and will assist managed syndicates in mitigating their regulatory and financial crime risks.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Adanna enjoys travelling and exploring new cultures.

Victoria began her career at Lloyd's of London as an insurance apprentice where she obtained an apprenticeship qualification, and a Chartered Insurance Institute Certificate qualification. After a brief stint in broking, she gained some knowledge in financial lines and is now assisting the Lime Syndicate Management team.
